If the $999 price tag on the iPhone X weren’t making enough of a dent on Apple-lovers’ budgets, a new case for the new phone can be the answer, according to NewAtlas.com.
A Spectrum of Luxury
Design firm Gray is rolling out several new cases, including the $1,295 Advent Aurora, according to the publication. At a mere $999, meanwhile, the new iPhone X is the most expensive phone Apple has ever made, NewAtlas.com writes. Gray, however, wants to fight the “lack of imagination” in luxury goods, according to the publication. The company also feels like its high-priced cover is on a road “few have dared to tread,” after Gray “ignited a rebellion” in 2015
The $1,295 case is made from aerospace titanium, machine-textured and hand polished, hand-torched and engraved with laser, according to the publication.
Consumers who want to save $150 can instead opt for the $1,145 24-karat gold variety, NewAtlas.com writes. And the truly penny-pinching can still find a Gray phone cover for as a little as $645, according to the publiation. It’s unclear how many of the cases Gray hopes to pawn off on iPhone aficionados.
