JPMorgan to ask New York staff to work from home to stem virus spread

JPMorgan Chase & Co is planning to ask New York-area employees to work from home to stem the spread of the coronavirus, Bloomberg news reported on Thursday.

The bank will split the workers, with one group working from home while the other is in the office, the report said, citing people with knowledge of the matter,

The report added that after a week, the groups will rotate.

The plan applies to most corporate employees based in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Jersey City, New Jersey, but not to branch workers or traders, the report said.

JP Morgan did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
