(EXPRESS U.S.) - Gracie Hunt, heiress to the Kansas City Chiefs and one of the most recognized names in U.S. sports, is poised to inherit a significant fortune and potentially step into her father Clark's shoes.
The 22 year old philanthropist, internet sensation, and model has not only made waves in beauty pageants across America winning Miss Texas Teen International in 2016 and 2018, and Miss Kansas USA in 2021 but also shares a deep-rooted passion for sports.
Her father, with an estimated net worth of $15.5 billion, has been instrumental in shaping the sports landscape in the U.S., including playing a key role in establishing Major League Soccer. He previously owned Sporting Kansas City and Columbus Crew franchises before selling them in 2006 and 2013, respectively.
He continues to own FC Dallas and serves on MLS's board of governors, following in the footsteps of his parents Lamar Hunt and his second wife Norma Hunt.
Lamar was a trailblazer in the evolution of several sports in America, having been a founding member of the American Football League (AFL) and Major League Soccer (MLS), as well as its predecessor, the North American Soccer League (NASL). Remarkably, he is also credited with coining the term 'Super Bowl' in 1966.
As a visionary of his time, his role in co-founding the World Championship Tennis circuit laid the groundwork for the Open Era in tennis. He also founded the Kansas City Chiefs in 1959 for participation in his AFL, which eventually led to his son Clark - Gracie's father - becoming chairman and CEO and owning a 20.5 percent share of the franchise before his mother's death.
Norma, who passed away in 2023, was also highly respected within football circles and was fondly referred to as the 'First Lady of Football'. One day, Chiefs heiress Gracie may be tasked with leading the two-time Super Bowl-winning team into a new era, following in her family's footsteps.
A frequent visitor to Arrowhead Stadium, Gracie has even been seen with pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is currently dating tight end Travis Kelce. Their friendship has grown so strong in recent months that the Chiefs heiress even gifted the singer a bejeweled microphone clutch bag.
